Mount Airy Middle School recently sent teachers and students to present in front of the State Board of Education (SBE). With its recent grant, Math and Problem-based and Project-based Learning for Student Success (MAPSS), MACS teachers have received training, coaching, and support as they implement PBL into their classrooms. This grant involves other districts and partners for three years. The work that MACS teachers have already completed regarding this grant has gained attention and a request from the SBE to learn more. A surprise, to both teachers and students, following their presentation was a visit from Governor McCrory.
